Monday Mix (random mix of the week) - Ok, I have to admit I’m kind of in love with this one. I love the wind blowing, I love the wind chimes, and I love the little things Taylor says through the song. After listening to this for the 29837255 time I realized that there is some added piano on the bridge and last part of the song as well, and I guess I’m attached to it forever.

Ok, so several people requested things like this. This is basically a collection from Taylor’s acoustic Red Tour performances twhen she changed the melody a bit or sung vocals differently from the CD version. It also has some of her best vocals. (note: I know I have like tons of messages to reply to, but I’ll get to them I promise, and likewise for the requests :) ).

"This is a song that somebody wanted to hear, on twitter, and this song really takes me back to maybe possibly one of the saddest times for me, but you know it ended up being a song that I wrote really really late at night and feeling that I was completely alone and feeling this way. And then it went out into the world and when you guys sing the words back to me it makes me feel I’m not alone in feeling any of this and I really appreciate that. This is called last kiss."

Finally remembered to go back and add the first line on this speech, that was missing from the first videos :)

That girl with the curly hair who wears her heart on her sleeve is going to be very important to you in life. She’ll teach you that you can love people, have emotions, be vulnerable, get hurt, and still be an amazingly strong and successful woman. You’ll spend hours on the phone talking about boys and life. When you get to be in the same city for a day all you two will want to do is watch Law & Order marathons and eat Chinese food. No matter where she is or how busy she may be, she’ll always answer the phone when you need to talk. She’ll give the best advice and when you don’t follow it because you are too stubborn, she’ll be right back for round 2 advice without so much as batting an eye. She is special. Her words are inspiring. Hold on to her.
